Wikigender in other languages? -- Julia 15:08, 2 April 2008 (CDT)
Hello and congratulations to this platform! I hope it turns out a useful and widely used tool for communication and information on gender equity. Are versions in other languages planned as well?
Greetings, Julia

Dear Julia, thank you for your kind words. We started Wikigender in English only, partly because this is one of the official languages of the OECD. In the long run, we would like to integrate other languages as well though. Please allow us to first experiment with the existing website, which is something completely new for the organisation. Above all, we need to find effective mechanisms to control the quality of the content displayed therein, which might be a tricky challenge if we open up to other languages too quickly.
What about presenting yourself? -- An 15:12, 14 June 2008 (CDT)
If one of your goals is creating a community it would be nice to present youself (each person in the team, realisations linked to gender equality...). We build communities with people not only with Organisations.
Another point which is a little strange to me is why not having both women and men in Wikigender team? I Hope to see some women next :) --An 15:12, 14 June 2008 (CDT)

Dear An,
You mention important points that we try to tackle in the near future. To strenghten the community aspect of the website, we will have improved personal pages - maybe even including a picture etc. Maybe you have noticed that we invite people in the "Getting Started" section to work on their personal profiles to try out this website, so we are definitely thinking along the same lines as you are. You certainly have a good point to suggest to strenghten these approaches.
By the way, our team was just re-inforced with some female power :-)
